HIGHLIGHTS

Hidden Treasures a step away from Rome

Just 60 miles East of Rome, driving along the highway A24, a scenic mountain route, you will find yourself in the hearth of Abruzzo region. A mosaic of plateau up to 5,000 feet surrounded by Alpine shape mountains topping 8,000-9,000 feet, deep canyons, green valleys and alpine lakes. With the largest cluster of National Parks and Protected areas in Italy, Abruzzo boosts an unbelievable wide range of indigenous wild animals and vegetation, where you can enjoy breathtaking view of a colorful landscape and wildlife watching. On the eastern side of the region, between the mountain range and the golden beaches of the Adriatic sea, lays a typical Tuscan landscape of rolling hills, vineyards and olive growth.

All you can wish outdoors

While the region offers unbeatable options to outdoors (Hiking, Rafting, Skiing, Snow showing, Wildlife watching, MTB, Mountain climbing, Horse-back riding and more). Abruzzo countryside also houses an outstanding numbers of the most quaint villages in Italy and historic and Religious sites, hidden treasures still waiting to be found.

Sea and Farm-to-table Cuisine

Abruzzese cuisine is rooted in ancient rural traditions still happening nowadays, like the Transumanza, when in the spring and in the fall, herds take a long journey from the mountains to the valleys and vice-versa.

The unpolluted environment and the direct access to the sea, provides local cuisine with a wide variety of fresh and high quality produce (Lamb, fish, milk, grains, herbs, saffron, mushrooms, black truffle, wild-artichokes, lentils, grape…), the result are tasty dishes second to none in Italy, at a fraction of price.
